JOB DESCRIPTION
As an ad traffic administrator, your responsibilities revolve around organizing and scheduling
commercials and promotions. You’re constantly required to balance the needs of the advertising
clients and the programming department to ultimately satisfy the listening audience. This role
requires someone who is highly meticulous and has the ability to assess and prioritize all the
incoming information and requests, to meet tight broadcasting deadlines.

 

JOB SCOPE

  • Enter sales orders into radio (airwaves) and digital advertisement system, and integrate
  • airtime schedule with the radio broadcasting system (RCS).
  • Ensure advertisements due for broadcast meet quality standards, comply with legal and
  • station requirements, and are within the terms of the station’s music license.
  • Ensure advertisements are successfully played on-air/online during appointed periods.
  • Run advertisement reports for the management and support client requests for
  • advertisement verification.
  • Allocate sales enquiries to Account Managers.
  • Responding to and handling client requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity reports.
  • Issue invoices for all sales bookings and ensure payment of accounts receivables by clients in
  • a timely manner.
  • Support, co-ordinate and monitor sales team activities.
  • Support, co-ordinate and monitor sales production activities.
  • Understand company capabilities and services, and effectively communicate BFM’s
  • positioning, aspirations and all its product offerings to the client.
  • Provide high-level of professional sales administration and traffic management to the client
  • and the sales team.
Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Excellent admin and organisational skills with high attention for detail
  • Strong computing skills and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse and prioritise effectively to aid scheduling
  • Able to react quickly to fast changing situations and able to cope under pressure
  • Able to work to strict and challenging deadlines
  • Able to work independently and also as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of legislation, the law and broadcasting codes related to radio production (advantage)
  • Knowledge of the radio market and the stations demographic audience (advantage)
